I paid $730ish in total for this (parts + labor including alignment). For sure labor and alignment cost will change shop to shop..:)

    Spacers...

Why are you lifting? There are inexpensive suspension lifts, too, if you're looking for off-road function.

Spacers.... if you're going for 'the look'. Suspension lift... if you're going for 'function'. Revtek spacer kit about 500 + install. Bilstein suspension kit about 800 + install. We did the spacers, still procrastinating, we would like the Elka suspension.

3G Tacoma TRD OR front damper assemblies are good for 2" or more usually. Can be had pretty cheap. I recently picked up a set for $100 that were basically brand new take-offs. Included the rear shocks too. Most agree that the rear shocks are under-valved for the 4R. I'm going to sell the rear shocks and use 4 runner specific Bilstein 4600s.
    I have a 05 v8 limited.

Are FJ shocks/struts and springs a direct bolt in swap ? What about Tacoma parts...will they swap in our 4Runners ?

I believe Bilstein 5100's will be one of your cheapest options for a suspension lift. If you want better ride quality, though, you're going to spend more.

go slower??? Not trying to be an ass, but how bad are we talking that you need an actual lift?

May sister lives in legit country. Dirt road and everything. Prius has never had an issue (other than me making fun of her for owning a prius in Texas)

Not sure about the spring rates for the taco, but the FJ springs bolt right in.

Tacoma (3rd gen) front coil over assembly and rear (shocks) are direct bolt on on our 4Runner. The front shocks mounting width however are just ever so slightly thinner so you may have to use two thin washer to center the shocks between the LCA.

The rear Tacoma shocks are valved too soft for the weight of the 4Runners so it’s not recommended.

    Hahahaha!!! Amazing!!!

I all seriousness. Think about what you need. 4 runner is pretty capable out of the box. I’m cheap as hell. I would get my shovel and level that road personally.

Good luck!! I am still learning. I came from sports cars and am still learning (enjoying) my way around functional.

oh….her prius got stuck in the mud recently. Had to have a neighbor with 4wd drag her out. Lol. Probably my fault with my post ;)

the taco comes with rear leaf springs so they do not fit the 4Runners. The fronts gives 1 - 1.5” of lift. I used the coilover assembly that I attached a photo of and gained 1.5” of lift to my 5th gen. I left my tears stock. I still have a slight 1” of rake which is exactly what I wanted.

The FJ I can’t say as I’ve never used it.
