Thanks! The only thing I'm rubbing on is that bump on the mud flaps. Otherwise plenty of clearance everywhere else.

edit to add: I just walked outside with a box cutter and cut a square out of the mud flap where it was rubbing. Problem solved and doesn't hurt the integrity of the mudflap.

Wife's ride, just a bit early on Christmas gifts for her...:headbang:
Just put on TRD wheels, BFG KO2's (E load range, but only because these were priced so much better than C's; plus on my old FJ they lasted FOREVVVERRR!). Also, added my Bilstein 5100's, which I've had for a year. Set at 1.75" front, no change to rear yet; will probably get Toytec rear springs for a mild lift, or spacer. Not a heavy off-roader, used for ski trips mostly. Sorry, crappy picture at the installer! Wheels $695 on ebay, wow!!2015 4runner TRD rims with BFG KO2 tires.jpg

Firmer. More confident turning. Less wander on the cement/lined highway sections. I felt the Dunlops were a safety risk with all aspects of their ride. Terrible.
Dont feel heavy per se. But I know what you mean, as E range Wranglers felt heavy on our old FJ. I have no doubt they ride great in dirt but havent tried. Good in snow. Awesome appearance

    For PVT Pablo.....
I got the Toytec 2" lift kit for my TRD PRO that you suggested, but not installed yet. However, looking also at wheels and tires.
With those 285s....what size are the after market wheels that you used? Gather not much extra clearance if you had rubbing.
I wanted to go with 20" Fuel wheels (20x9) and 305/55s as wanted wider tire look and hoping the lower/less side wall 55 would still fit combined with the 2" lift kit and 1" or so that the tires and stock Bilstein add. The Fuel wheels come in couple offset options which also might help or go with wheel spacers. 305/55s are about 33.2 diameter vs 285s at about 32.7 and 305s are about 3/4" wider. If have to drop down to 18" wheels, then thinking might as well stick with the stock 17" with 305/60 or 65.

The issue with clearance is not because of the wheels, its because of the diameter of the 285's. They are not rubbing on anything hard (like body mounts), just the bump on the front mudflaps so its really a non issue to trim them down. The aftermarket wheels come into play (they are SCS Ray10's 17") with the upper control arm. Most stock wheels require a spacer to fit wider tires as to not rub on the UCA. The after market wheels I got solve that problem. Also, I got the aftermarket wheels because the stock pro wheels are 7" wide (Trail's have 7.5" wide wheels) and are to narrow per the manufacturer for 285's.

I think if you went with 305's with this lift you'd be doing a serious amount of trimming without rubbing.

Ya, I figured may not be able to go 305, but I saw a Trail Premium couple days ago and that guy had 305/55/20s. I asked him if had rubbing and he said very little. Said the dealer put the stuff on when he bought it including a 3" lift....got it in Oklahoma City. That's why I started looking into the 305s. I'll look at it closer after get the lift on it, then maybe go to couple monster garages around and see if can test mount couple of size tires/wheels.
    thnx for the feedback.

With enough time and trimming they'll fit.

You are most likely going to have to do a body mount chop to fit 305s. Probably more hassle than it is worth.

Gassed up, went to the car wash to THOROUGHLY wash off ALL the dirt and road salt, then drove back to work with a smile on my face, secretly gloating as I drove past all those filthy, corroding cars! Life is good!

A trip to keystone a couple weeks back revealed that 7 of 10 4runners were trd pros in that area. Never seen so many in one week.

Got my RCI under armer installed today. In my drive way with a friend it took about 1.5 hours to it all. Done by 0930 so we decided we had to test them so we headed out to Otay Truck Trial in SD Ca. for quick run. Hit one rock accidentally of course and the aluminum did great. From the stock tin (metal) to the aluminum there is almost no weight difference but you have more protection including the transfer case cross member and skid. Love it.
