TRD Grill, TrdWheels,TRD skid plate, Bilstein (5100) series suspension front 2.5” and rear with 1.5" swayaway coil. BFG 275/70r17, Added front and rear lower valances.. work in progress…
    Any advise on this kit?
    I have bilstein 5100 front and rear. (2.5"/1.5"). I hear a lot of mixed info. For a 16' sr5

    My opinion:
It's not expensive, so why not? Saves the time/energy to having to go back and do it. So just add it now.

Will I have trouble with my TRD skid plate?
    All opinions/advise is welcomed.

    Thanks

I installed an OME setup which did not call out a drop kit. I had it installed anyway. Having the CVs closer to stock made sense to me. The cost is so negligible that I couldn't see a reason to not do it. No troubles with the skid plate on my Trail.

On all the 05+ 4runners the geometry of the mounting locations makes installing the 1" the diff spacer basically useless. It doesnt drop the diff so much as it rotates it a bit, which in the end turns out to be about 1 degree of change in CV angle with the 1" spacer in place. The 1" spacer then makes the front diff mount arms more susceptible to getting whacked by a rock or whatever offroad and requires mods to fit with the stock skids too.
My $.02- they're not worth it on the newer rigs! Now on a 3rd gen, sure they work fine there.
