I have zero confidence I can remove them and reinstall them straight haha Has anyone taped the area off really well and rattle canned it? Kind of not wanting to go that route, but would like to make the letters black.. I think. Anyone change their letterings colors? Any advice appreciated.

I have. There are small 'indents" where the letters go. The original letters are just stuck on, you can pop them off, and the new letters (at least the ones that I bought - linked here - https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/products/trd-pro-grille-lettering?_pos=1&_sid=fa15bd2f9&_ss=r ) have the "male" version of the tiny bumps that line up with the "female" indents on the valance. This helps keep them in the right place and correct orientation. I DO recommend doing them ONE LETTER AT A TIME, however, because it is possible to override those indents and have a letter slightly off axis.

I redded it out... plasti dip.

Probably going to do the 4RUNNER on the back all red or change the 4 to black. Don't really like how it looks after the fact. Or maybe just do the Toyota logo red and 4RUNNER all black. Since the seats have red on them and the TRD is red on skid plate, I thought red would look cool.

Plasti dip is $6 a can at Home Depot. 2 cans - 1 Black and 1 Red. Still have most left over. Easy to do. Look for youtube videos to show you how.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if there is a vendor that offers the "Pro" lettering in silver? I would like to have the Pro match the Toyota heritage lettering on my grill.

Taco Vinyl does a slick "Pro" version. I sprayed mine with a satin black prior to install. Turned out pretty good for a rattle can job...

Taco Vinyl also does colored lettering. They will also do Custom painting for an additional fee.

Here is a pic when I was using to see how close I could get the letters to match my wheel color. Because I was not planning on installing them, I got basic black as thats what color my emblems were before I painted them...

Thanks. Do you have any idea how long these will last? There are no reviews so my concern is they may peel off fairly quickly.

I had mine on for 2 years. No peeling, fading or other issues. Just recently replaced them after my front end got replaced.

We did this in 19. Wrapped bumpers and all emblems. 2 1/2 years no problems. I have done the rear emblem about year ago with overlays off Amazon and wrapped it.
