I've stepped over from TW after trading in my '19 Tacoma TRD on a '22 4Runner TRD Sport.
We are a family of 4 and enjoyed camping in the Tepui RTT, mounted to the KB Voodoo bed rack.
Plan to get an off-road trailer to mount the RTT on, or I'll have to get a rack for the roof and mount it on the 4Runner.
If anyone has made a similar transition, feel free to drop some info for us!

Looks good and welcome from just over the border in NH! I did a similar switch from my 2nd Gen Tacoma to a 5th Gen 4Runner. I went with a full roof rack for the tent, a trailer would be nice though…

Welcome from RI! That is a terrific looking 4Runner, that Sport looks really slick in white!

Are you a member of any of the Toyota groups in the Northeast? Maybe I'll see you at an event sometime.

Nice OG Trail! It's my favorite model 4Runner, though I may be a bit biased lol. I really like the ARB, I would love to add one to mine but I'm afraid to add all that weight to it.

Thanks, what roof rack did you choose? Is that a 4 person Tepui? We have the Autana with the vestibule.

Thanks! I loved my Tacoma's (4 total) but the 4Runner is sweeeeet!
What other Toyota groups exist? I'd love to find some road-trippin' groups and learn some trails. Do you ever trek up to NH?
We typically camp in NH or Gloucester, MA. Family stuff for now, not too primitive.

It’s the Kukenam so it’s a 3 person tent. The roof rack is an ARB flat rack, with Gamiviti roof towers, but it did require me to drill a bunch of holes to mount it. I already had it so it made sense for me, but something to consider

Understood. I need to sell my KB Voodoo rack from the Taco; I've looked at Frontrunner and a few others.
Whatever I get has to be low profile.

Thanks! I really wanted a Silver OG Trail like yours, but couldn’t find one that was reasonable when I was looking. The ARB bumper does add some weight but I haven’t had much sag, I do have an OME lift sitting in my garage waiting to go on though…

The funny thing is, when I bought mine if I'd had a choice between the silver and MGM I would have picked the MGM one, lol. Now I'm that I've had the silver for a while, I do like it, it shows the body lines well and looks nice when it's clean. I just find it a little boring, especially as my previous car was silver as well. It's nice at hiding dirt and scratches and whatnot though.

When you get around to installing that OME lift, post up your impressions of it. I'm at the point where with 130k I'm going to need new suspension sooner than later, so I figured that's s good time to lift it.

There are a few groups on Facebook that I'm part of. There's the Northeast Toyota Overlanders, they actually just did a run in upstate New York last weekend in single digit temps, lol There's also Nor'east Yotas, I went out with them two weeks ago for run in Freetown. They're actually doing a cars and coffee type event this weekend in MA.

I try to get up to New Hampshire a few times a year, mostly for mountain biking. We typically camp at Bear Brook and ride those trails, and also up in Gifford woods in Vermont, near Killington. I actually haven't gone up there and done any off-roading or vehicle activities, it's all been bike stuff.
