Tires + Lift Questions

If you upgraded your tires from 265 to 285, did you get your lift done prior or at about the same time? I am planning on getting the lift and tires at different shops without a lot of driving in between. Is that ok? Also planning on getting it aligned only once at the lift shop after changing tires at Discount Tire, but like I said, without much driving in between, like <50miles.

I would get the lift first, but just wondering if its ok to get the tires together, or if I should do some long driving in between

 

Just get it together and wait a little bit before modifying anything.

Might not be able to fully lock on turns but you should be fine as long as you don't jump straight into major off roading.

 

When I moved to 285 nitto’s with the slight lift, I rubbed on full turn. So, depending on tire brand, because some do run slightly smaller, you’ll need to at least remove mud flaps. Body mount chop at some point

 

Mine came new from the dealership with 285’s and a 2.5” lift (billstein 5100) - I haven’t noticed any rubbing at all with that combo and Ive been looking for it. I would personally get them at the same time if possible- just easier that way
