Hey, not sure if this is where I'm supposed to be posting this but I'm gonna go for it and hope for the best, anyway I have a 1995 4Runner that has an aftermarket radio in it and it does not come on when the car turns on so when I do hit the power button I hear a loud grinding sound from behind the glove box on the passenger side, now I've taken the glove box off and can't see anything first glance. Just figured I'd ask if anyone has had this problem or knows what it is so I can fix it
    Thanks

is it the power antenna trying to come up?
put 12v to the black w/red bands & the pink w/blue stripe to test it.

I have the same noise. Did a 95 4Runner Limited come with power antenna? I'm thinking the gears are stripped and the motor continues to run for a bit before it shuts off. Is there a fuse for that? Can I remove to stop that noise?
