It looks to be in good condition. Its says $15,500 ...........OR BEST OFFER. make him an offer!
(I'd offer him $10,500. ) in case it needs a lot of neglected maintenance like say a timing belt ?

Yeah, I was just shocked by the price. I find similar condition ones for 1/2 - 2/3 the price pretty often.

The thing is they run forever it seems if you do the routine maintenance. My Aunt has a 2000 SR5 with approx. 300,000 miles and it runs fine.
I would never buy a 1996 vehicle.....but If I ever did ....it would be a 4 runner. Are you going to make an offer to buy this one?

I picked up a 99 Limited last October for 4k, all it needed was the hood and roof painted, some seat covers for the front, 270k miles, very clean otherwise, at those prices I must have stole it!

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
My lovely wife found our 99 4Runner in the Denver area for $5,000.00. While she was working on negotiations, as it was a dealer, she saw another, across Denver from the dealer we were working with, for $12,000.00.
The dealer even knocked $500.00 off for me being a veteran. It cost us $1,100.00 to get it shipped to us. We checked, and we couldn't find any way to fly up to Denver, and drive it back for anything near that. We got a bargain, especially for a Manual Trans.

The dealer cashed the deposit check we sent him, and that afternoon he saw the other one. He said he'd like to raise his price, but we pointed out he already cashed our check. TOO LATE! HA!

My mechanic, and all the mech's at the dealership we stopped at for some small items of repair, and regular maintenance parts, said we stole it. I got a bunch of offers from both shops personnel for it, but we like it too much to let it go. No way.

    Have fun, all!

price depends on whether or not it's auto, or the sought after manual....rust/frame issues are price factors as well

I just bought an 02 with 283k for 4,000. Only problem I’ve found so far is the radio doesn’t work. I’m stoked to have this as a little beach buggy

prices go up and down..depending on each 4runner, etc....you can't put a price on pleasure..only the buyer can answer whether or not it's a purchase worth signing off on

Tacoma and 4Runner are THE HIGHEST sought after used vehicle. I wouldn’t pay that, but I don’t see it as unreasonable.

that vehicle still has another 200,000 miles (minimum) left in her

I have a rust free, low mile (164,500) V-6, 5 speed manual, rear dif lock equipped 2000 4Runner SR5 that I will sell for $15,500. I just bought a Tundra and I don’t want to put the 4 Runner back into storage. I’ll list it properly with photos in the 4 Sale section when I hit the 30 day threshold.
