Yes, we have the same problem in California- it's full of Florida drivers.

When I'm driving at night, my fog lights are always on because you can't have your fog lights on and high-beams on at the same time. This is the case with every vehicle I've ever owned. So, at least the knowledgeable people won't flash me. Fog lights are always aimed close to ground level due to their design, so having bright fog lights should never happen unless you adjust them this way on purpose.

But, as one other poster said, the Tundra headlight adjustment from inside the cab should be standard equipment on all BOF Toyotas.

That would be cool, but it's really only a fine adjustment knob to compensate for the huge difference between an empty and full bed. Most of us aren't adding and removing 1000+ pounds from the 4Runner often. They're either overloaded with camping junk full time, or doing grocery runs a few times a month.

Having said that, I do load up the truck with weight in the cargo in order to aim my headlights. That way they're aimed perfectly for long road trips when the truck is full of family, dogs, and camping gear. For short daily commutes the headlights are a little shorter because they're tilted down with an empty truck.

THE ARM PIT OF AMERICA NY STATE THE ROTTEN APPLE
I’m in westchester county n.y or as i call it the arm pit of the USA or The Rotten Apple. Just about every one in a MeBe Audi BMW flashes me. I have off road fogs and have them switched to come to on with high beams if i want.
I drive at night with my finger in the high beam switch, it was annoying at first but now its fun for me.
My truck is still stock except for the fogs no lift and nothing in the cargo area

Have you checked your headlights to see that they're aimed correctly?

Hey everyone, my apologies if this has been discussed, I can’t find anything by searching..I didn’t have a wall/level ground anywhere convenient to use to re-aim my lights after my lift, so I decided to let the dealership do it. Well, tonight is the first night after having them re-aimed and it seems my headlights are extremely low! I have no light throw down road past maybe 50 feet or so, the cut off hits the road and then it’s dark past-no light emitting at all. My question is, is this to be expected with a leveled truck or should I take it back to the dealer? I can’t imagine this is normal.. While I want to respect oncoming traffic safety, it came at what I believe the cost of being able see down road myself. Is there something that could explain it, such as their template is specific to stock height and doesn’t account for the lift? OR do they actually measure according to spec-parking 25 feet back, measuring the headlight height etc? Thanks in advance for the advice, sorry again if this has been discussed, I just couldn’t find anything specific to this issue.

You live in Texas and can't find anywhere flat? :D

Haha seriously though, go find a parking lot somewhere and bring your measuring tape and blue painter's tape. If anyone bugs you and asks what you're doing in a parking lot at night by yourself, tell them "drugs" and they'll leave you alone.

Headlights shouldn't point at the ground. My guess is lazy dealers.

I think the sharp cutoff of the stock LED low beams and the lift make it a bit more challenging to find that sweet spot. It took me several drives with different adjustment to find a reasonable balance between getting flashed, and me being able to see.

But even from factory, I never liked how the sharp cutoff left nothing but inky blackness above a very well lit foreground.

Only time I got flashed was my trip home from picking it up from the dealer, I thought my lights were in but only the fogs were I think or the DRL’s, that was equal to my 01 tahoes lights so I thought they were on. When I turned the headlights on I thought they were the high beams they were that bright! First night drive.
