Anybody recommend and upgrades and a good exhaust? My exhaust is needing replaced. Or should I save my money for a 3.4 swap?

You need to get rid of the crossover in the exhaust. It's one of the main reason the 3.0 blows head gaskets.

How many miles on the 3.slow? If it is really high, then I would say to save your money. Getting rid of the crossover is about the only way to help it.

Best practice for a 3vze is correct maintenance. Getting rid of the crossover can help but its only a bandaid if your cooling system is not healthy.

This link has some 3vze maintenance basics.

My 3vze made it to 310k miles before rebuilding. Cause for rebuild, poor cooling system health. Head gasket blew at cylinder 4 (not 6 where everyone says the crossover gets to hot). I still run the factory crossover with an all new engine. The headers are a whole new bag of proper fitment issues dealing with heat etc..
