Cup Holder

cup insert not stable, drinks always tip over. Any suggestions?

 

Double sided tape?

I have some large, stainless steel mugs from Toyota Land Cruiser Association (Now discontinued bur similar ones are available elsewhere)! Work very well=just did 4K miles through the SW, along the Cascades, Sierras and Rockies w/o tipping over.

 

Where would I place the tape?

 

Under the vinyl cup holder. Or maybe a "wrap" around the cup holder to tighten it.

I have the opposite happen. My drink cups are always wedged into the rubber inserts so when I take the cup out, the insert comes with it. Some cups are just small enough to avoid this, however, so they get the nod on road trips.

 

I got a set of these and love them. Only thing that it’s not good for are skinny Costco water bottles. Everything else is great.

Same thing for me, I drink coffee using a metal cup and the rubber OEM inserts would latch on like a demon. I bought a set from ETSY as well, great purchase!

Also bought a fuse cover for under the dash since I had tapped one of the ignition/on circuits.
