Well we bought my wife an SR5 Premium in June of this year and I'm trading it in on another Durango R/T. Nothing I could do to it would make my wife like it. She needs the power liftgate as a teacher because her arms are full of shit all the time. Less room in it than the Durango. Obviously slower. She likes AWD. I just wanted to get her into something reliable. Oh well. It was a good run. I appreciate all the help on your end. Having said that when it comes close to the trade I'll be yanking the OEM audio system out of it and selling it so I'll have that stuff. I do have some silver roof rails and I think that's it. I'll post that stuff when it gets closer.

I did it to save money. Then hated the Subaru, but made money both on the 4R and the Subaru. Doesn't sound like she will ever drive another 4R.

yeah we're doing well on the 4runner. I'm going to be out my rims and tires but that's ok. couple months of payments. I'm happy that she's happy I guess.

You gotta get them what they want, not what you want to keep them happy.

Bustin' your chops for busting his wife's. I traded once because she didn't have a place for her purse.

If we all bought based on Quality........

Oh hell, didn't we both end up here from Wrangler Forum??

    I rest my case

Yeah we had a ton of problems on that Durango but we did buy it used. I find that if I buy something new it seems to last longer. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my stuff. Hopefully this one doesn't give us any surprises. lol. The purse comment is pretty funny stuff. Yeah I hate FCA customer service but lets hope I don't have to contact them much.

Wouldn't it just be better to trade the wife? I traded a VW CC after 36 days because I hurt my shoulder reaching up at the bank teller.

maybe better but not cheaper. lol. I told her if I trade this 4runner then I'm getting a new truck too. So I ordered a 22 Power Wagon. Had an 18 but made money on it. Can't complain. Couple more years of payments.

Tictoc. Tictoc. You know what that is? The sound of your new hemi with the broken lifters. No worries, even in warranty, it’s easy a 7 month wait for a rebuild engine.
I am in a Toyota after 3 Rams. Ask me what happened…

Oh yeah I know. I actually hated to get rid of the other durango. The motor was the quietest hemi I've ever heard. It was nuts. I don't put a ton of miles on my vehicles so they should last a while.

You obviously haven't met her or anyone like her. Paul Newman answered it best when some Hollywood interviewer asked what he credited his long term marriage/fidelity to: "why go out for a burger when you have steak at home".

    It's a truck.

You moved on from the Subaru? What did you end up hating about it? CVT?

My wife didn't like any of the 4wd selectors SR5/ TRD. Why I got her the Limited, no need to select 2wd / 4wd. Full-time 4wd works great especially since I don't clean the drive way. Only clean the walkway so no one will slip and fall. Automatic running boards were good to have for her. We hated 20in wheels when we put a load in the back like gardening needs for her, no we have 17s and very very comfortable looking at the tires even after loading, will not damage the wheel if she accidentally hit the curb or pothole. Sadly no kick open lift gate or anything, have to use the button to roll down the glass to put small stuff (Mrs was a teacher.). Since I maintain my cars religiously good to have Toyotas for reliability.

yeah I was going to get the limited. glad I didn't because besides the 4x4 it wouldn't have fixed any of the problems she didn't like about our current one. Someone is going to be happy with her rig though.

Well I sold a TRD Pro for $4K more than I paid for it and bought an Outback Wilderness. I hated it because of the tech and CVT. Sold it for $2K more than I paid for it and bought another 4R.

Can’t she use the back seat for school paperwork? Or maybe it’s larger cargo.

Sometimes I’m glad I am still single. I will regret it though as I age

Lol. Haha. Honestly the window in the back is a pain in the ass. You can’t have a door open when you wanna roll it down. There’s a lot of shit indont care for either. Stereo blows it’s noisy inside. The rear window wiper cleans like 1/2 of the window. Indunnno. I just wish the Durango was as reliable.

Larger cargo is handy. The third row doesn’t help that situation either.

No it’s the point of being able to open a door without using your hand. Hence power lift gate.

Umm if the lift gate is the major reason it seems like a few hundred dollars spent and having a more reliable vehicle is better:

Your wife’s need for a power lift gate is a totally legit considering her profession as you stated.

It’s a-shame that Toyota doesn’t offer a power lift gate on the Limited at least. My guess is that would attract more potential buyers.

    Best wishes with the Dodge.
