Planning on mounting a 30" LED Light Bar behind the grill.

There are several YouTube videos on this, however none of them cover the TSS (Toyota Safety Sense) 9" x 3", Laser Cruise Control grill panel.

Are there any issues with mounting the LED Light Bar behind the front-grille-mounted radar panel, other a portion of the LED Light Bar being blocked radar panel?

There are no issues installing it, at least the 32” caliraised, but half of it will be covered by the black rectangle...

Has ANYONE figured this out yet? In the lower part, of the lower grill, it just looks like there is just a "supporting piece of plastic" underneath the actual TSS. Is there anything in there? Or can it be removed some how? Can it be modified somehow to allow any of the light bar to shine through?

This is such a terrible limitation that has been built into the 4runner for off road lighting opportunities. I have to believe that SOMEONE has found a solution to this by now!

Above is a Caliraised Light Bar on a Taco with TSS.

You could trim that plastic piece at the bottom of the TSS and use the lower position on the Caliraised light bar mounts.

I would really like to see what that would look like… do you know of anyone who has done it yet?

AS of right now, I can only think about mounting a 10" light bar on each side of the sensor. It just seems like a waste to put a 30" bar behind the sensor which blocks 33% of the light output, as well as wonder about the heat issue, and whatever may get stuck in between the bar and sensor...

Damn you Toyota for being so lazy with their "upgrades" to the T4R!!!

Has anyone else come up with another solution?

I'd go with two separate lights instead of a single bar, otherwise you're just wasting light and money. Here's Tom with two SS5 pro pods mounted on a Rago Fab mount.
