Power lift gate tailgate install

Just installed the power lift gate. They gave me a coupon code for 20% off. “Handsfree1”
Just google Hanshow and order off their site. Works good for me!

 

Question. Do you have to walk up and open it with the remote or can you use the keypad on the lift gate? I ask because you have a ‘21. Also, did it come with the foot sensor? If not, did you opt for it?

Unfortunately the fob does not work with the 21 Limited. I think it is because of the auto start. I did not get the foot sensor, so opens with handle and dash button inside. Closes with button in liftgate and dash button

How was the install?

 

I’m interested for my wife. Questions…. Do you have to have the foot sensor for it to work if you walk up to it? Can you use the key fob buttons on the lift gate to open it? Just trying to figure out how to walk up and open it if my wife’s hands are full of groceries lol. I understand how to close
