Hi-lift and MAXTRAX added to roof rack and LED turn signals added to the bumper filler. Painted the stock skid plates, added some conqueredtrailz stickers from the trip this summer.

No long travel, just the Toytec BOSS coil overs. I'm running spacers on all 4 corners with stock UCA's. I was able to get the alignment in spec so not to worries about it. I think I spent about $2k for the bumper, winch and lights. Not totally done with it yet.

how do you like that bumper? i was lookin at the site but there aren't any pics on the defender and the summit the descriptions are the same on all of them what made you choose the predator? if you were to hit something would you expect to be upset or just brush it off?

I really like it. I went with the predator because I liked having the grill guard on it. I also got it because I hit a deer last year. I definitely think this will put a licking on anything I hit. Pretty stout bumper.

Looks great. I've just barely started wrenching on my '98. Any thoughts on rear bumpers?

    Thanks.

If I had to order one right now it would be Savage since I wouldn't have to order the tire carrier right away. Hopin Mobtown comes it with one though.

How much of a Tundra's suspension/breaking parts will fit on a 3rd gen?

With a little trimming the 231mm Calipers will fit the 3rd gen. The 3rd gens notorious for warping the rotors, and since I'm lifted/armored and live the mountains I want bigger breaks.

You're talking about trimming the dust shields?? Yeah I've been driving my 98 for a couple years and I"m on the 3rd set of rotors. This last time I bought a pair of EBC rotors and "green" pads.

Yes sir. You might also need wheel spacers depending on the rims you have. Hoping these brakes are a lot nicer on the mountain roads.

I've been toying with an idea and I'd love some input. I keep thinking that the Runner is a bit under powered for what it is and been trying to figure out ways to get more power.
First idea being the possibility of a TRD blower on the top of the engine? Have you heard anything about it?

Second idea (yes this would be a lot of work/parts.) Thought of swapping for an early Tundra 4.7 drive train and suspension. Essentially turning it into a Tundra in 4Runner skin . . .

The S/C is awesome and probably the easiest to do. The only crappy part is that they are so expensive now since TRD stop selling them. I've been toying with the idea but might just regear first.

I've seen one 4.7L swap and I think the hardest part of it was wiring the VVTI up. Would be a lot of work but they are bullet proof motors.

I'll see if I can find a write up on the guy who did it. He has a beast of a 3rd gen, took him a long time to get everything together.
