    Hey all,
I want to put a 3" lift on my 2020 TRD Pro. As I paid all that extra money for the upgraded fox suspension, I would really prefer not to replace them. Is there a good suspension lift I can get that will work well with the Pro? It looks like Rough Country may have a good option but wanted to get some other opinions.

    Thanks!

Maybe checkout Wescott designs. I just added their lift to my Venture edition and I think they make a similar application for the Pro.

This is my Pro with the Eibach springs. It only gives you 1.6" of lift, but to me its the perfect amount for 285's.

I’m obsessed with the stance of your rig! Do your 285s rub at all? If not, what modifications did you do to insure those 285s don’t rub?

No mods. It does not rub. Each 4R may vary though. If you can get the Eibach springs I think you will be happy.

    Good to hear. Looks killer.

285s on the normal TRD wheels? No issues? For some reason I thought I read those wheels were too narrow for 285s.

They are not ideal, but I've had no issues. I didn't want to buy new wheels. Love the look of the stock wheels. Hate trying to keep them looking decent.

You’re not going to get 3” on the stock fox suspension without spacers. I don’t recommend them unless you’re a pavement princess.

these are the Eibach pro springs prior to me adding bumper/winch which dropped me a little. I think those are my 285’s in this pic 950BC1E9-1FE7-43FC-BEDA-8ED022FA657C.jpg

I dont have the Pro, I have the premium. I have the pro wheels. Have the Dobinsons Coils & shocks (IMS) front & rear - 2.7" in front - 1.7 rear - Bf Goodrich KO2 E 10 ply 285/70/17 no rubbing; no UCA's needed This give around a 4"lift if you count the larger tires increase of height. Front shocks are adjustable. The rig drives great on the road and off-road.
If you want more info contact Mike from exitoffroad.com nice helpful and honest guy.
    Good luck.

Anyone here with a Pro move to the toytec 3" lift? I've spoke with Hugo at Toytec and he recommended going to the 2.5 Aluma Series because of the Pro suspension package but from what I've read the 2.5" are for 4R's with KDSS. I also didn't want to do the control arms at this time but could very well in the future. Thoughts on this?

There are so many options it's overwhelming. haha.

I bet 2.5 Aluma Series would be better than TRD Pro stock fox shocks since they are design to work as lifted setup. Talk with Hugo about the spring rate as well. If you use a spring rate that is design to run with winch+bumper on a stock weight 4Runner you will get bad ride.

I know Kings are a big player amount 4Runner owners too. When I ask Hugo what is the best of the best he said to go with ELKA 2.5DCs over Kings.

Sounds good. Thank you guys. Talked with one guy, he said don't really need the Aluma 2.5 unless doing higher speed longer days due to the higher oil capacity. I get out a few times a year on trails and mainly when were exploring harder to get to camping areas. With that he said the Aluma 2.0 series and standard rate springs as I don't have bumpers or a winch yet. With that said, do you guys see the control arms as necessary?

I believe this is the Aluma 2.0 kit i'm looking at and there are a lot of options. What about the Bump Stops as well. Do you guys see these as worthwhile to do?

It's not much price gap between the two, so ask again if 2.5 Aluma compromise any ride comfort. (I doubt). If not go with 2.5s. I was even ready to get Fox 3.0 but Hugo said it's too big and ride comfort will be not good. So went with ELKA 2.5s.

Yes there is so many options. I've heard OME BP51 is very comfy too.

Too bad Toytec don't work with Fox 2.5DCS and Redflo. If they were available could have ask about those too. I've seen some 4runner owners love those as well.

Biggest problem is comfort varies from person to person. For some a firm and sporty drive is a good ride vs someone like me consider good ride as very soft ride and don't feel any bumps on the road.

    Eric,

The ground clearance of the 4R is 9.6". I haven't measured the diff height now, the diff goes up with the increase of tire height which is about 1.3" if you go from 265/70/17 to 285/70/17. The coils/springs are lifting the body.

I will either stay with 265's or maybe go 275's at the biggest. Do you know how big front and back the lift was? Tx

    Yeah, the front 2.7" Rear 1.7 - (Front shocks are adjustable. 0-3.5") (Rear 0-3") You can go F 2.5" - R 1.5" most common - 275/70/17 will look good.

No, I did not change the UCA's - I think It's not necessary, I have no problems. Some other members might have a different opinion.

How are you still liking the setup? Do you wish you would have done something different. I have a 19 Pro looking to do the same thing now that I have to replace worn tires.

I have an ironman foam cell pro stg. 2 with 2.5” front performance coils and 2” rear performance springs. Love the setup, and I their website recently has has 20-25% off their suspension set ups.
