Well … That may be my problem!
No replacement latch was supplied, nor mentioned in instructions. Only clue was to "modify"???
What is the difference? Could I modify stock latch to work, like replacement??

That I couldn't tell you. Where did you get the kit from? The one kit I got came with it. So I'm not sure.

About 3 weeks ago I bought my wife a 2020 limited. She is short and the lift gate can be a little heavy at times for her. Just kind of awkward for her. This would be a huge help! How has this system been working for people that have it? One area on their website I saw 1 yr product warranty but on the q&a I see they say 3 yr warranty. Not sure which is correct. My only reservation is the shocks and quality of them.

Thanks for the reply. Dumb question... I know that you have your remote and buttons to open and close. Are you able to just walk up and pull the hatch and it opens electronically or is it manual ( like from factory )?

With the foot sensor put your foot in a certain area and it will open automatically as well.

This is an awesome upgrade that actually brings the 4Runner into the current century. Great job!

also, I assume it has a safety sensor kicked in so you don’t accident it hit the button while driving, or oh don’t open it while you have something attached to the trailer hitch?

Let me know if you get one from Hanshow. Discount code is “Handsfree”. I’ll help where I can if you have questions. Instructions are shite! :)

I have never tried to open while driving but also assume it doesn’t activate if not in park. There is a pressure sensor so if it hits something it will stop.

Braves95 and/or others: I've had the Hansshow power liftgate in the box for over a year. I attempted the install but couldn't determine where to make the electrical connections to the vehicle. The Chinese written instructions are worthless and their recent video is also worthless, as it doesn't show the actual connections. The mechanical part of the install is relatively simple but I need to get the actual connection points under the dash for a 2020 4R. I don't want to guess where to splice in wires. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Should be no splicing. All plug and play but some wires not used. Hardest part is fishing wires in tailgate. I suggest removing connectors the reinstalling after fishing. Getting to fuse panel is no issue. I had to make a bracket to install the module inside tailgate, but no issue. Some guys put module in jack compartment
