Going uphill noise?

    Dying to get my hands on a 4Runner
    So while going uphill when I come to a full stop, and then when I hit the throttle to go up from zero speed, suddenly the traction control light shows up and then there is this clicking noise from the parking brake. It happens when the streets are wet, and I feel like the rear wheels slip. Is this normal? This only happens when I'm going uphill from 0 speed

    It is very annoying, should I turn off traction control when I'm stuck uphill waiting for the red light?

    This happens to me if i let it roll back a little on incline about 25deg at a red light have to step on the brake & start over with both feet 1 on gas & 1 on brake. never thought to shut off the trac control, i have to see if i can shut it off more things to check in manual.

    Do you know why it happens? It doesn't happen on modern Toyotas like Camrys and Rav4s. I know 4Runner is not modern, but what is it missing?

    Seattle is only second to San Francisco when it comes to Hills :D so this is happening to me quite often

    It’s the TRAC system (not A-TRAC) kicking in when detecting wheel slip. From the Owner Manual:
