I think bronze would look good.

I am also a new TRD Sport owner. I would love to see what you rims/tires you end up getting. Also looking to replace the skinny wheel/tire combo i have.

I ended up going with 265/70/17 nitto terra grapplers. Toyota was having a sale buy 3 fourth one a dollar and the trd rims. Will upgrade to 275 if and when I get spacer kit installed

Also black out emblem kit front and back. Im happy with it!! Got the wheels for 171 at San Diego Toyota and they shipped them for free. They are currently back ordered by 19000 and for some odd reason San Diego had one set so I jumped on it. I also talked ti a few private shops that had them in stock, just didn't wanna drive and get the work done

Of those three choices I'd go with Toyo AT3. Not too aggressive or heavy of a tire in SL aka standard load. No need for E rated if you're only hitting the mall speed bumps. I had 255/80/17 aka skinny and tall 33" tires, they never rubbed. 275 might rub at full lock. I have 285s now and yeah they rub. You'll be fine with 265/70/17 or 275/70/17 any more bigger you will rub. Btw welcome!

Edited... lol saw you already made your choice :toast:

As long as you go smaller on rims. 245/60/20 and 265/70/17 are damn near equivalent.

If you do the black out emblem kit, Amazon sells the overlay for the chrome that is in each side of the Toyota logo in front!

Where are you in California? I have a set of black trd pro wheels I just took off my Trd pro that I’ll be posting up soon. I’ve had both nittos and Ko2’s, nittos were great around town and did well in the dirt as well. I go on trials/wheeling semi-often and the KO2s work great for my needs.

New member reviving an old thread. I just purchased a 2022 TRD Sport and considering the same wheels and tires.

Did it make any difference on the ride? Any clearance issues?

Not much a difference. Slight rubbing when fully cranked to the right. Raised about 1 inch going from stock to 265/70/17. Overall I'm really happy with it and it looks nice for being a mom car

Looks good! Did you consider anything for running boards? I'm trying to figure out which if any are compatible with the rocker panels.

Had 20s on my sport model when i bought it and went down to 17s because Discount tire said they didnt make a all terrain tire for the 2022 model on 20 inch wheels. Slight rubbing when i put in 265/70/17 first. So I decided to go with 265/65/17 instead and it worked out perfect.

Wow, your 4Runner looks so good with those TRD wheels and tires!! How does it drive now, is it still smooth, or does the steering wheel shake/wobble at highway speeds?
I'm looking at putting on those same TRD wheels on my 4Runner too :)

I had the 20” on my 18 limited but recently picked up a set of ORP wheels and went with Falken Wildpeak 265/70/17. Very slight rub in reverse wheels cocked hard on drivers side.
