Even if the black seats aren't leather you still usually have black plastic to match that gets pretty hot. My family had a jeep wrangler that had black seats, if you took if off road the seats showed the tan dust pretty quickly. Dog hair also shows up well on black, especially if the seats are cloth because they hold onto it better than leather. We used sunshades too, it helped but the seats still absorbed a lot of energy.

There's tan and then there's better looking tan. I like Ford tan interiors (on later models), GM not so much... Never seen Toyota tan.

Not the cheapo carpet in our vehicles. It’s a pita to clean. You could jump in my duramax with muddy boots without floor mats and it would sweet right up.

Don't worry fashion is cyclical; it will surely come back in style again my friend.

Had a 1999 accord with a beige/tan interior. Champagne is what I think they called it. Freaken miracle fabric. It never wore in 21 years 220,000 miles. I never needed to clean the fabric besides the occasional vaccuming, just to say I cleaned it. Still looked great until the day I got rid of it.

The black 4runner fabric…I dont know man. It certainly doesnt hide dust.

I like black interiors and hate tan interiors but then again my skin seems to stay attached to my body even when it's dry.

Welcome to this Century. Tan interiors went out shortly after parachute pants and Cabbage patch kids.

Were you even alive then? LoL

It seems to me the most common interior color of luxury vehicles is tan or brown. My comment was directed at the 4Runner FWIW.
