Dealer called and told me the body shop is done with my repairs (I backed into tree 3 weeks ago). I had previously asked them to get me an extra key fob as I've somehow lost one of the two that came with the vehicle.

$700 for a new one. $200 for the fob. $115 to laser cut the key and 3 hours of labor to calibrate it so that it works on all locks. You can imagine what I told them to do with their new key.

Any ideas on where to get a replacement at a reasonable cost?

I was told one hour of labor, then got charged for one half hour. They admitted it didn't take as long as quoted:)

He’s in California, they charge you $180 of labor just to glance at your vehicle.
