So there is a good chance for a group buy for some Westcott Designs Rock Sliders, in talking with @gregnauman on Tacomaworld which is who originally organized this with Westcott that we should include the Tr4's in this great opportunity on this group buy. I will keep a list here and a Master one can be done on Tacomaworld so that Westcott can see what and who is interested. Westcott Designs rock sliders for the 5th generation 4runner. Our sliders are laser cut, hand built, and hand welded which make them some of the best on the market. Our sliders are all .120 wall tubing and offered in both *HREW and *DOM steel, in either MIG or TIG welded options. The frame plates are also laser cut out of .188 *HRPO steel and feature a true bolt on install with supplied hardware. No matter what variation you select our sliders in, they will offer you excellent protection no matter what kind of abuse you put them through and will last for years to come. We have different options for angle of approach (0 degree & 20 degree), with or without top plates and a durable BK08 black powder coat finish. (Will NOTfit 2021 Limited or Nightshade models with Xreas)

For the ultimate eye candy rock slider, we have an additional option of clear powder coat to show off the artistic welds and workmanship of our craftsmen.

Options:

• Raw HREW, MIG Welded – $725 a set.
• Raw DOM, MIG Welded – $849 a set.
• Raw DOM, TIG Welded – $949 a set.
• Top plates are optional for an extra $150.00. (Top plates are a great option to assist with ease of either entering or exiting the vehicle; especially helpful if you have little ones around).
• Traditional black powder coat (BK08) for an additional $200.00 per set.
• Clear Powder Coated, DOM, Dual Pass TIG Welded – $1570 a set. (The true Eye Candy rock slider!)
• Due to high volume of orders expect a 3-week delay before shipping for all sliders except for clear powder coat which are currently 8-12 weeks.

Westcott Designs rock sliders are some of the nicest and highest quality rock sliders on the market. When I had mine installed at Westcott, they gave me the factory tour making the sliders. Even though it was a very industrial environment, the place was clean and the sliders were well staged in production. I liked the clearcoat versions. Clean but raw look. Would like nice in the right color-wheel combo's.

 

Depending on price and shipping, I’d be interested in purchasing a set of powder coated DOM, TIG Welded with top plates 0 angle.

 

Man, just placed my order Friday. For what it’s worth, Ethan, whom I exchanged numerous texts with, was awesome. Said they just sent out a batch for powder and could ship it out as soon as next week.

What variation did you order? Or do you know what batch is out for powdercoating?

 

I did 20, black powder, plates, DOM. Sounded like they had a few variations ready to go that just needed coating. Here is what it looks like raw with plates… I mean cmon!I kinda wanted clear just to show the welds, they are masterful!

 

Yeah man those things are a beauty. Is there a particular reason you went with top plates on angled sliders? From what some people have said about sliders in general, the top plates are not as handy on angled as opposed to straight sliders.

I am going to give them a call later, if they can ship within 2 weeks I will just go with them.

 

I got the word out to our Tucson 4Runner group (Westcott Designs is one of their sponsors). I'll let you know if there is any interest from that group.

 

I went back and forth on this a bit. I had some reasons to get a 0 ( wife and kids use for a step), but they don't seem to have too much of an issue getting in (lifted 2"). I figured they could still get the tip of their foot on the bar to hop in and the kick out would be enough for the kids. So I ended up going for clearance while on the trails and said to myself the top plate "might" prevent one of the kid's legs getting mangled through an opening, but in reality it was purely aesthetic lol. The craftsmanship is just so top notch I couldn't resist.

 

Bump,,,, come on everyone let’s get a few more interested so we can get this moving into the real thing
