Dealer says they are giving them to me at cost(Which I doubt) as they had promised when I bought the 4Runner. So what do you guys think and suggest? Both will affect my mpg.

Online it is almost $50 less. Dealers are such liars! :(

Duratracs are still very popular. Great in snow, and supposed to be good in mud.

He said it will make the more noise and effect the mpg more, compared to the other one.

Tread life warranty favors Terra Grapplers, as does the 3 pound weight difference per tire. That's not an opinion..just fact.

Plus better mpg, cheaper, and less noise. I am not a rock crawler. Just need some decent traction for light offroading. I think I am gonna go with the Terra Grapplers.

Something to be aware of......if you do go with the Terra Grapplers. TRD PRO's come with the old TG not the newer G2. Since your dealer is being so generous.......lol. Just make sure you don't end up with a set of PRO take offs. Not saying they would.........but

I will be alert. Thanks! And I will make sure I check them thoroughly. And they are not being generous. They are liars lol.

Not saying there's anything wrong with first gen Grapplers. It's more about getting the burger in the commercial. Ya know.

This parts dude is a good guy. He told me to wait for two weeks, there is a Toyota deal coming up, Buy 3 get one free
Plus, I need to find a use tire place to sell my all season tires to. They will have less than 1,500 miles on them. I hope I get at least $300 for them.
Any of you interested in used tires? :)

It shows the G2 in the picture. I would certainly hope that no dealership would try to pull a bait-and-switch on something like that. It doesn't seem like it would be worthwhile for them.

Yeah, too big of a place to do crap like that. Risking getting sued over a set of tires :D

My Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac as loud as Nitto Terra Grapplers. Duratrac are much better on trails than Terra Grapplers. Haven't had a change to test in snow. KO2 & Wildpeak are less noisier. So far I'm thinking I should have got KO2 instead of Duratracs but waiting to test on snow to see if I change my mind.

If its between Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac vs Nitto Terra Grapplers without a doubt get the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Duratrac got 3 peak mountain snow flake rating as well (good for winter) vs Terra Grapplers are not.

Best guess. You'll have 0 problem selling them once they're available. Like all else 'oil' related, they ain't getting cheaper.

Facebook market place & Craigslist is your best friend in selling stock tires.

Just called a local used tire place. They told me to stop by. They will have a look at them and give me a price. Give me advice to not get screwed by them. Should I get a printout from the dealer on the price of the all season tires that my 4Runner has?

@kmeeg So I got the print-out. My 4Runner has these. Time to bargain with the used tire place. I won't settle for less than $150 :)

But I will not be doing hardcore offroading. They don't seem to be worth the worse mpg in my case.

Early days I thought to trade in my stock tires to Discount Tire and they offered $25/tire. I refuse an sold on FB market place and I think I got $400 for 5 Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 tires.

When I got my TRD ORP I took pics of the tires while I was at the dealership and posted them on FB Market place and shared on my local CO FB group. I got offers in no time and the buyer came to Discount Tire to pick the tires next day while I was getting my new tires.

Only 1 time I bought tires from Walmart. Other than that I've purchased all my tires from Discount tire. They price match pretty much all tire shops. After purchasing tires I fill out on line form at Discount tire and apply for the gift cards available. I can use that gift card for any other purchases.

    Here's one example as of now;

Also read more ideas from other members as well. There are many other good tires other than what I have used. Eg - general grabber, toyo open country at3, etc.. Take you time and you can learn from other members..

My 2 cents. I won't be surprised that place offering you $80. Look at this way. Discount tire has so many sales and still they offer me $25x5 right? So be prepaid for lot of sh*t offers. When someone offer you bad offer politely deny it. Else you are getting angry and ruining your day. Hope you can get $400 for your new Bridgestone Duelers (They are little cheaper than Dunlops that came with 4Runners in the past) from FB Market place / Craigslist.

Yeah man, I had such a wonderful day, this little conversation with this used tire place ruined everything, I am so not in good mood going home :(
This is why I choose to deal with the dealerships, and not these shady crooks around the city.

The reason I lost my cool was because I talked to the guy and asked what price are you going to sell me the new tires for, and the guy gave a stupid smile and he said, well the price that you have on that price sheet of yours. Then I said, you are a f****** crook and I walked out
