Off-road trails/forest roads in Sonoma/Napa counti s

Does anyone familiar with Sonoma or Napa counties know of any good forest or off-road trails in those counties? Seems like slim pickens but curious if there's anything out there and Gaia maps show a lot of gated roads. Thanks.

 

I cannot comment specifically about Napa or Sonoma but the Mendocino Forest, which isn’t too far from there, is my ‘go to’ place for close wheeling, close to Walnut Creek that is.

There are tons of trails in that general area that are totally worth exploring.

I’ve been exploring the area for years, first on dirt bikes and now 4x4’s, and it never gets old !
