Hey everyone I have an opportunity to buy 08 4runner sr5 v6 (basic model) with only 43k miles which is a rare find around my area. The Carfax is clean accident free 1 owner. Wasn't able to test drive because it still had to be inspected. Exterior looked to be in great shape though. The salesman called and said there was an issue with brake booster and Toyota dealer is going to check it out (selling dealer is acura). Listed at $18900. Would you guys pursue this one? And anyone have any brake booster issues?

No brake booster issues here.....Not sure what the NADA value is but if it's what you want go for it.

Thanks for the responses. I am a little concerned that this brake booster failed so early. The vehicle has been in Alabama most its life. The dealer is putting new tires on too. Dealer says people been coming out of the woodwork inquiring about it but I think I was first to so I get first dibs. If drives well will likely buy it.

The dealer let me know booster will cost 2500 therefore won't be putting it on the lot and sending to auction. I guess that's why it was traded in. So my search continues...

I looked on their website today and vehicle is still showing for sale in their inventory and also dropped $1000 in price so it seems they lied to me but they are dealers and many are shady unfortunately. I won't ever return to that dealer again.

A friend works for a local dealer and told me the other day, the brake booster and abs system is one unit. That's why it's $2500.

What about the millage? 43K sound to be very low for a 2008. Any proof that millage is real? Do you have the complete history of the car including all the oil change?
