    Hello,

I've had a 2000 4Runner that has been sitting for quite some time (5 years). I've had the 4Runner running in year 2 and 3, but with the pandemic it's just been sitting. 3 years ago I had replaced the spark plugs, transmission fluid, and oil change, but it really hasn't run for an extended period of time. I get it running every 6months or so just so it's running.... but now I'd like to get this thing back into form.

My question here is, what are the things that I should definitely do to ease this back into running full time? What should I check for, replace, mechanically/electrically aside from the cosmetics?

    Thanks in advance.

I would change ALL the fluids to include the brake fluid, fresh gas, belts, lower ball joints, radiator, check anything that is rubber. Are you done yet?Lol, oh yeah, welcome.

bingo. Exactly correct. Also check the tires make sure they aren’t expired. Last thing you need is one separating on you

Thanks, SlvrSlug! I'll start with this list first. I was planning on doing the front rotors and brakes, and possibly the rears as well, so brake fluid change sounds like a good idea. Lower ball joint might be a bit fun for me... but what the heck, I can give it a shot.
