Hi there, got a question. Going from 1st to 2nd and felt a deep pop. Now there’s a knocking coming from the drive train, I think. Truck runs and shifts great, no problems there but this knocking. It also doesn’t seem to speed up or down, just a bump bump bump. What can ya’ll suggest?

Does it go away at different speeds?

I haven’t tried going past 2nd. It just happened yesterday. It seemed to go in and out but that little 4cyl is loud. It doesn’t start out until I accelerate as well

I'd check muffler hangers, anything around moving points such as driveshafts, u-joints, and outputs of transmission / transfer case.

I’m not seeing anything notable loose or damaged.

Can you video the sound? Also, check all shock mounts bottom and top.

I will have to tomorrow but I will video it. The weather is poor at the moment. Thanks for giving a direction. I really appreciate it. I didn’t think the check the shock mounts as well.
