Hey guys! A few weeks ago I bought a 1987 4runner and the back row seats weren't installed, but the guy had the seats in his shed and tossed them in. Now that I've gone to install them... they don't fit. The hinges don't line up with where the bolts should go into the floor!

Anyone know where I can find the right seats or an inexpensive way to modify these seats so that they'll fit? Thanks!

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I don't know where he got those seats, but I'm pretty sure those seats are from a much later year vehicle. At least my 87's second row seats don't have that wrap around feature.

I would suggest checking the local recovery/wrecking places. I have a feeling that otherwise, without buying a parts truck to steal the seats out of, you're going to be SOL.

I don't know if you can cut-n-weld the mounts to make them fit properly. I wouldn't think so, but I'm no pro welder. I am a tyro to the mx.

Whatever you do, I wish you the best of luck.

If you believed those were the correct seats for that vehicle, where else did the seller pull the veil over your eyes?

Search car-part.com for closest wrecking yard that has the correct vehicle parts.
