    35x12.50r15..trimmed fenders..pinch weld "mod"..1" body lift
Picked this 4runner up about a month ago with 230k miles for 2k. Had a code 24, 52 and 14. I resolved them all.
24 I replaced the MAF with a salvaged one. Going to clean the old one.
52 I did a knock sensor bypass with a 1997 s10 4cyl sensor on a bracket on the drivers side of the engine and replaced the TPS as well.
14 I replaced the Ignitor and coil

So Far so good. When the engine dies it will be replaced with a Chevy V6...CARBURETED!!!:)

Removed the running boards, rear bumper and the plastic junk off the front bumper.
Trimmed an inch out of the fenders.
Added a 1" body lift by cutting pucks left over from some other project years ago.
Beat the fudging dog schnitzel out of the pinch welds.
Cut and flattened the pinch welds where the rear bumper used to be.
    Mounted 35x12.50r15 Cooper Mud Terrains on 15"x10" Cragar's with a -38mm offset.
    Installed Warn manual hubs.
Replaced the mechanical fan with an electric. 3.0 was like molasses in the winter time when the fan clutch kicked in. Electric fan took care of that crap.
Replaced the distributor cap, rotar cap, and plug wires.
Still need to tub the firewall and build a front bumper.

Nice! it is great to see that someone takes a project on and makes something out of it worthwhile reading about and look forward to see more about it.

I had a Goldwing once not quite stripped down as that but it was very basic and fun as Hell

For the electric fan, does the fan control look at the OEM sensor or did you have to install something inline on the radiator hose?

I wired the fan to the battery to keep it simple. Fused it and put a toggle switch in the cab below the radio.
