Awesome. I dont know much about dog breeds, but he seems kind of like a stealth guard dog. Cute curly fur, but hiding that guard instinct underneath.

Also, literally stealth, because with all the curls, you cant tell if he’s coming or going!

 

Belgium breed, used as K9, Police & Army. Originally bred to herd cows & defend the farms from all kinds of critters. Famous in WW1 to evacuate soldiers in the trenches in the Flanders/Belgium when Germany used gas, people were burnt, and the skin came of their bodies. Bouviers where trained to do this job, because of their tremendous resistance against pain. This is a part of history WW1.

I first heard of this breed in 2001/2002 ish. I was a beat cop & got a home burglar alarm call. The front of the house was all secure...and no barking heard. My partner and I went around back, eventually making our way to the arcadia door. As soon as we got there, there were 2 huge, black dogs that I thought were 100lb Schnauzers. They went ape$shit when they saw us...and our quick 'exit stage left.' I was worried they'd jump through the glass to get at us. The homeowner eventually arrived and educated us on what they were.
