I have a 2021 4WD V6 Venture (TRD). I see it is tow rated at 5000lbs, which apparently all 4Runners are? I need to tow up a 20 ft boat ramp and maybe 1/4 to the marina.

The boat I’m looking at is 2600 lbs (dry)
    Engine 550lbs
    Trailer 1250 lbs
    = 4400 lbs
With fuel and gear another 600 puts me right at 5000.

Any thoughts on the capability of the vehicle to accomplish this are welcome. Thanks

You have the wrong vehicle for that job.

You have to be able to stop. 3500 at most.

Thanks for the responses. I am more concerned about pulling whatever I get out of the water. I need to tow up a 20 ft boat ramp and maybe 1/4 to the marina. It’s a side street so I doubt ill go over 20mph while towing it

    It’ll be fine doing that.

UPDATE - It pulls the boat out of the water like a champ. 4wd wasn’t needed. Thanks again
