Welcome , If you go over to the builds page look at 5th gen you will see from mild to wild on different lift kits. Take a look you will get lots to think about. You will see tire sizes that fit and power loss from the bigger tires. Good luck . I love my 16 trail mods and i'm sure you will. Enjoy

You will more than likely rub with 305's. Especially with an aftermarket wheel. Some people rub 275's and most have to do some modifications to clear 285's even. Every truck is different and you may get lucky but if I had to guess you have about a 88.96% chance of rubbing. :p

I purchased the standard TRD rims and 285 Toyo R/T's with 3" 6112 Bilstien's and not a problem at all.

If you can find a shop that will let you do this . I would put a 305 in the wheel well and see where it hit and move the truck up and down . Otherwise your going to end up spending more and more just to be unhappy with it. I would say 3" lift and maybe a 1" body lift. I just don't like body lifts to many what if's. Good luck.

It will help if you do a different wheel but then you most likely rub on the upper control arms unless you plan on replacing those with your lift as well.

If you are set on 305's you will need at least 2.5" of lift with new upper control arms most likely. You will need to modify/cut some the inner fender well, remove the mudflaps, and possibly have to do a cab mount chop mod. It's definitely possible but just be aware it's not as simple as throwing on a lift and tires.

305/65/18 is almost a 34" tire and is 12" wide. Maybe @SixthSnail can chime in, he was running a 34" tire for a while...

Definitely need a cab mount chop.

I ran 285/75/17. They were fine after a decent amount of cutting. Wider will be more difficult. Maybe @Relentless can chime in. They are putting 35s on this week
