I just got a 2021 Runner that I will be towing a lot with. My old tow vehicle had an aftermarket trailer wiring setup with a little box -a Curt brand powered tail light converter and an inline fuse or two. Does the 4runner have these or is it set up differently somehow? I'd like to know where to look for problems if something's not working in the future. I found zero info in the manual.

joeright, I also have 2021 4runner Limited, I found the 7 and the 4 contact plug but can't find the brake controller, on my Tundra it was located low on the right side of the dash. Let me know if you or anyone else knows where it might be. I haven't hooked up a trailer yet, so it's still a mystery. thanks. RoyL

The brake controller harness is on driver side a little above or behind the kick panel near the parking break.

Thank you, I didn't know it was a plug and play, everything that I had used was hydraulic over electric, and after thinking about it I've always had a big V8 to pull my car trailer, and the little V6 may not be up to the job, so I'll stick to my little utility trailer. Thank you anyway, RoyL.
