Relatively new 4Runner owner here and am starting to purchase various items for my vehicle. I'm going after the OEM rock rails and have found a great deal at a dealership via the Toyota Parts Center website.

I can find very little information on inventory stock. location, or shipping times and it appears that you cannot cancel the order once you place it.

Anyone have experience with ordering from dealers through the Toyota Parts Center site that can provide some feedback/advice regarding shipping? If I was to order and shipping would take a 10 days or more then Id likely buy locally and pay a premium in order to get them and install them which is why I am asking.

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT - Site here - https://parts.toyota.com/

I think that’s the overall host site, and then you can chose/find specific dealers. You could also call said dealer when you find a good deal if you don’t trust going through online.

Ah my mistake. I've tried using the website you're referring to before during holiday sales and it ended up being more than some of my local dealers.

It's a neat website, though not all dealers participate. Im actually finding that with a free shipping code that ordering from a dealer through this site gets me a better price than local dealers and even BAM.

You need to search for the local Toyota dealers in your area that have actual parts ordering online and not the ones that want you to put in the parts you want and send to them. Typically the sites will be something like:

    https://parts.autonationtoyotagulffreeway.com/

search for multiple dealers to find the beat prices. I paid $473 out the door at Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston for my rock rails using the pick up at the dealership option.

As far as the quality of the rails, others on here will question the welding quality and most of those people have minimal understanding of weld strength. I have a set on mine and I’ve come down on them pretty hard and only scratched the powder coat. They’ve held up great at half the cost of others.

I used the parts.toyota site to search for dealers with the lowest prices. One of my local dealers was not even listed while two others were at MSRP. I score, though, $411 total after a free shipping coupon was applied. Hope to see them later this week!

Lot of people on the sister site Tundras.com page use sparksparts.com with good success

    Below copied from tundra page:

Sparks for OEM and some aftermarket, the usual suspects if you don't care. 5% off at sparks if you use Tundradude34 as promo-code.
