If I'm not mistake you still are "technically" limited because its using the stock mounting. But I'm sure they can hold more.

    LFD makes some as well.

The definitely look heavy duty - wonder how much they weigh? Wish they had a "3" set purchase option..

You are still limited by the strength of the factory rails. The LFD/Artec/Victory style crossbars are great, but keep in mind what you are bolting them to.

Yeah, the factory rails are the limiter. So far, it sounds like the rails can handle a 200lb guy standing on them.

What are you looking to do with the rack? Tent?

I stand on the roof to take photos. Hence, why it needs to support a 200lb guy standing on the crossbars.

I have the Nise Rack bars and use them to attach my awning, waterport mounts and such that the stock bars and Yakima basket did not work for.
They are pretty stout and spread any weight more evenly.
But we're still dealing with the stock rails.
Biggest draw back to Nise Rack is the wind noise.

@21Venture Old thread but did you ever try to fix the noise issue? Over on TW a lot of guys said capping the t-slots helped. I ran a strip of clear packing tape across my prinsu cross bars when not in use and I think it dropped the wind noise considerably

    Good Morning,
You could say I solved it. I ended up selling them and put an RCI full rack. I needed more space for boxes and a 180 awning. The wind deflector on the RCI even with a light bar is really quiet compared to the cross bars.
But yeah covering the slots in the bars I suspect would cut down on the noise.
