My 2004 4Runner 4.0L has 271K miles. OBD throws codes for bank 1 and bank 2. Walker sells universal fit CARB legal (EFN matches) cats for all four (same part number ) or direct fit for rears only.

Called a muffler shop and the guy said the front has to be a direct fit also. Not sure if this is correct or the universals would fit.

I would appreciate confirmation if universals would work from someone who has replaced the fronts.

    Thanks in advance,
    Raffy

If I were you I'd stick with Denso brand 02 sensors. I learned this with my Taco.

Whats the actual code you're throwing? Have you taken a multimeter to your upstream or downstream sensors to determine they aren't the culprit? Seems premature to jump straight to 4 new carbs.
