Purchased a limited runner last June, Wife hit a big bird and they replaced the grill. Took it in because the cruise control would shut off and the pre collision light would come on. No cruise control. Took it back in and they replaced it, works for about 10-30 miles then shuts off, PCW light comes back on. Just took it back in and they said they took it apart and ran the codes etc. Guess what happen 15 minutes into wife driving next day?
Any ideas what’s up? Note: the front sensor is always clean and there is nothing obstructing it’s view.

I'd imagine the bracket is loose or the radar up front is damaged and they tried to cheap out by not replacing it, or not properly calibrating it once replaced.

Or, the replacement part could be a reman and faulty.

Press and hold the cruise control power on button until it switches from Radar to Cruise, turn of PCS and problem solved.

    :)

Steve, what would doing that do? The point of having it is to work correctly. It’s brand new.

It was more of a smart-ass remark on the fact that I hate all of that driver safety aid crap that allows American drivers to be that much lazier and complacent on the road.

What you see on the outside is just a cover of the actual sensor… maybe something got between the sensor and the cover or maybe it’s a faulty sensor. My Tacoma used to go off in the same spot on the way home from work every day, drove me crazy… But that was a faulty sensor
