Sooo. As the title summarizes. I finally got the Pedal Commander. Plugged it in, routed the cable and sticked it to the dash with 3M tape.

Tried all the settings and settled on City +2.

I'd venture to say that this thing has its place. I do enjoy the quicker response of the throttle for sure...and it is a huge difference.

Buttttttt. I got this 4Runner because it's an automatic, shifts smooth like butter, and also has the beans when you wanna smash the pedal. So not sure it's staying. Hmmm.

With the PC engaged, it feels as if there's no in between. It's just way too sensitive for everyday driving imho.

Does anyone else have one? Love to hear your thoughts.

I have the Sprint Booster v3 so slightly different setup but, I get it. While I have the V8 so power delivery in the first place is different than the V6, I also feel I don't even need the 'Race' mode and that 'City' or 'Sport' - the more tame setting - was more than sufficient. But I agree that initially it feels like there's no in-between the pedal either thinks you're crawling or gunning it. However I'll also say that I, like many, thought to myself that I just spent $250-300 on this little thing, I'm going to feel it out for a bit and make sure I really do or don't like it not based on just a day or week. So here I am 4 months later and... I am definitely used to and indeed enjoy the new shift points and kind of acceleration it delivers, and think that going back to stock feels relatively gutless. I know there are arguments to the reduced MPG you might see (cause of your new heavier lead foot), possible extra strain on drivetrain components, etc. So not everyone agrees. Plenty of people like you allude to feel there is no need for such an accessory.

    Just food for thought.

Yeah I reread my post. My 4runner still shifts smooth, but I guess I have more of an issue with the almost too quick throttle response. Stock, you get a slower, but more giving response. My feet are either all on or all off I guess. If that makes sense.
