BRAKE LIGHT,ABS AND VSC LIGHT ON IN MY 05 4 RUNNER

Started it this morning and brake light,VSC and ABS lights all stayed on - emergency brake not on and brake fluid fine- drove a couple of minutes and light went off then about a mile down the road they came on again- stopped, turned engine off and re-started - got about 3-4 miles and came on again- any ideas whats causing this?

 

Check your gas cap. Make sure it is tight.

 

Thank you - Im sure its a quirk of some kind- it seems to be running just fine but I will check the gas cap

 

I have the same issue. Gauges look like a chistmas tree with all the warning lights lit but everything works fine.
At some point I will have to do some research

 

It happened to my 2003 4R,Check engine, VSC and ABS light always comes and go, went to the dealer and they did a zero calibration still the same, lights comes and go, I asked a mechanic in a small auto shop and he told me to change the gas cap, went to the dealer bought a gas cap for less than $30.00 and since then lights has not come back. I was not charged by the dealer for calibration because they did not fixed the problem.

 

Sounds like Toyotas' version of the 3 Amigos.
