Just relocated to the San Antonio area and looking for any “easier” trails or cool views!! One of my friends said there isn’t a lot of public land, so hoping to get some recommendations!

Correct, Texas lacks BLM but, there are still gems to find. Heading West, you can spend time at Big Bend (bit of a drive but a weekend trip!) as mentioned before, hidden falls will be the closest along with the hill country overland route (very easy and very nice views!) You may want to try joining your local Facebook group for meets that tend to do easy trails.

lastly, there is a trail near bucees in Bastrop. Smaller and sometimes muddy but, offers some excitement and if you haven’t been to that bucees go there before it is no longer the largest in the US.

    Welcome to TEXAS!
