Anyone successfully update Gracenote database?

I’m trying to update the gracenote database on my 2017 LTD, and I downloaded the latest gracenote file, but the system doesn’t even recognize it when I plug it into the USB drive.

I wouldn’t think it’s a usb problem since I just updated the firmware using the same USB, and that went fine.

The thought crossed my mind that I might already have the latest database version, but I can’t imagine that’s the case and I can’t find the latest version numbers online since the gracenote site is down (of course).

who’s accomplished this?

 

I know I am reviving an old thread but some of us still running the factory radio, was there ever an update for this? Or Toyota pretty much abandoned gracenote updates?

That link is for a navigation update, Gracenote is for music database.

 

Yeah its for maps, for my 2019 LTD I did not get any firmware update on https://www.toyota.com/firmware-updates#

 

I put the Gracenote Update onto a thumb drive and put it into the USB port on my 2019 4R. It wouldn't load. Don't know what the problem was.
