The dome lights, which are listed as DE3175 or DE3022, do not take the Auxito brand. This applies to the 2020 4Runner TRD-OR and I suspect, the whole lineup, at least the 2020 and 2021; also they don't work in the 2021 Corolla hatchback, same dome light.
The are a tad longer and thicker and do not fit the enclosure. See pic below.
I am still waiting for the Yorkims, but at this point I am a bit worried those wont fit either.
The OEM bulbs seems to be Toshiba 12V8WAT:04.
What brands have you had luck with for the dome light? The Auxitos are cheap, the Yorkims more expensive.

Am using Vleds, they are working fine in my 2020 4Runner's dome light.

If I remember right the dome light was the biggest pain in the ass. Can you squeeze the ends with a needle nose pliers? Just for the hell of it. No harm in trying to manipulate it to fit if you can't return it.

I was thinking about DD, hard to come by in Canada.
They are not cheap, but I believe they are among the best in quality and durability.
I got Yorkims for the Runner and Auxito for the Rolla, thinking out of the two, one will last longer.

Maybe the yorkims are smaller, I have to check it out, but it says 31mm and I really tried to stick it in there, i pushed the enclosure up, out of its socket, I bent the metal clamp a bit (fixed easily), but the damn bulb wont go in.
On the DD site they state 29mm festoon for the dome and regular 31mm for the cargo area.

confirmed, the cargo bulbs 31mm fit just fine, they have longer metal brackets and there is a bit of play, however, i pinched my fingers again and the dog learned how to swear while i tried to fit the 31mm in the dome housing. You either have the correct bulb, or you really bent the heck out of the contacts.
thats it, im getting the DD 29mm. hopefully they ship to canada.

That's strange, I was able to fit them easily on my 2018 and 2019. Dome and cargo had the same size.

Too funny, I just struggled to install that exact auxito bulb in my 4runners dome light earlier today. I ended up blowing a fuse trying to install it using small pliers. Spent way to much time on it. In the end I found it was possible by without using pliers. I had to insert the auxito bulb sideways, inserting the passenger side tip first then the drivers side tip and then twist bulb so led's were pointing down. hope this makes sense. Problem with the auxito bulb is the points arent very defined, so its hard to get them into place. Good luck. unplug the battery so you don't blow the fuse like I did lol.

    Well, officially they don’t fit:

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply and sorry to hear that. After checking, we just have 31 mm DE3175 bulbs at the moment, so they may also not fit for your car. Really sorry. Hope your understanding.
    Sincerely apologize again.
    Regards,
    Jessica

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, you car take DE3175 or DE3022 bulbs for your dome light (ceiling).
Since these bulbs (31 mm) a little longer and not fit your car. Could you please retrun these bulbs through Amazon and get a full refund?
    Waiting for your reply.
    Regards,
    Jessica

Diode Dynamics has 2 different sizes for these bulbs for '10-'20:
    29mm dome - https://www.diodedynamics.com/dome-light-led-for-2010-2020-toyota-4runner-one.html
    31mm trunck - https://www.diodedynamics.com/trunk-light-led-for-1996-2020-toyota-4runner-pair.html
Bending the hell outta the connectors is a no go for me, my OCD kicks in for a job poorly done, not to mention it might damage the housing (mine popped up "inside")
The Vleds are 30 mm, not 31mm and adding their thickness at the ends, 1mm probably is the diff between it works and it doesn't: https://www.vleds.com/shop-application/interior/3022-24-b.html

All this study about vleds and DD makes me spend money...

For sure! Only complaints I’ve heard about the rear dome light “to bright”. Not worried about that.

I had trouble getting these to stay in as in this photo, so I gently tapped them a few times with a small hammer to blunt the ends to 2mm. Now at 29mm in length, they fit perfectly and don't fall out.

That dome light IS a PITA. Was, until I located my 10" forceps. Then it was a piece of cake.
Got mine from Amazon. The brand is Autogine. Kit with tool was $25.00. They carry a 2 year warranty. So far, so good!

Just letting you all know that these 31mm does not fit 2021s dome light.
(They fit on my 2018 & 2019 as shown on above video and pic. But when I try today on my 2021 TRD Pro it does not fit)

I wasn't kidding about tapping them lightly with a hammer to flatten 1mm off of each end, reduced the length from 31mm to 29mm. It blunts the ends enough so they fit perfectly into the hole and spring hole.

There was no way this was going to fit in there out of the bag. The spring clip just won't compress enough to grab it and it will keep falling out. I had the same issue with my FJ Cruisers.

Depending on how much metal or solder there is at each end, you can also file off a little to reduce the length. This way you don’t shock the internals too much with hammering.
