2" Bilstein 5150 front and rear lift with OME rear springs. Falken Wildpeak 275/70R17. Spider Trax 1.25" spacers front and rear. Fender liner hack job on the front and mud flap removal on the back. Incoming: Lil b custom fab full height bar, and prinsu roof rack.
Whats up sqaud? So I know this subject is beaten to death but I need help with a rubbing issue I have on my '09 Sport. Put a 2" Bilstein 5100 lift on with Wildpeak 275/70R17's. The tires are rubbing my UCA's like crazy and I don't know what to do to make it stop. So far from what I've gathered, I need wheels with a 0 or negative offset. Right now I'm looking to pull the trigger on some Black Rhino Baker's that have a -12 offset. I can picture the tire sticking out and I think I like that aggressive look but also hope that the $1000 I spend on them will fix my rubbing problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The lift and the tires both reduced clearance with the uca, so you'll either need new while as mentioned, or spacers.

I really hope you got new springs with those 5100's. I'm assuming you live in the rust belt. You should really get everything coated for winters there man.

Yup lol. I live in Massachusetts. I got OME rears but didn’t pick up any front springs. Suggestions on fronts? Thanks for your help

Simple spider trap 1.25 spacers should remedy the UCA hitting the tires. 725/70r17 is a very large tire for the 4th gen.

If you type “4th gen 4Runner suspension options” a website from t4r should show up with all the associated information regarding tire size and and associated lift/mods needed to fit!!

    Cheers

To further the conversation OP this page is a good starting place for finding new springs or lifts or whatever. Also if you call, Mike is the owner and he's pretty damn on point with getting you where you want. https://exitoffroad.com/product-category/toyota/4runner/4runner-4th-gen/
Also in their gallery you can see what suspension setup gets what results https://exitoffroad.com/gallery/gallery-toyota-4th-gen-4runner-2003-2009/

Search around and see what you like. As for wheels, 0 or negative offset is required if you don't want to get spacers. For reference, I have 255/80r17s and Icon tubular UCAs, and its close, but I clear. But be mindful, my tire is almost an inch skinnier and taller than yours in total. Under our wheels wells that plays a big part.

Thanks for your input. Super helpful. I’m going to pull the trigger on some black rhino rims with a -12 offset and most likely add coil overs, and new UCA’s. I have my bilstein fronts at 2” so I’m going to ask my mechanic to get them up the extra .5” as well. I feel like this will help?
