    Hey guys and gals,

I wanted to let you know that I had my Eibach 2.0 Stage 2 Pro Truck Lift installed today. WOW, what a difference! It made me wonder why i hadn't done this before. I am really happy with it, the 4Runner drives like a TRUCK now. In addition, I went with the Toyo Open Country A/T III in grade E, which are surprisingly quiet! Went with the L285/70 R17 and there is minor rubbing when in reverse (on the mud guard).

With that being said, I remember reading with my first impression of the front looking higher than the back... Someone said at one time, measure the edge of the wheel well (fender) to the ground, and realised that it is level.

What I'm wondering is should I do the diff drop?

Shout out to All Out Off-Road in Tomball, Texas for doing a SPECTACULAR job! It was done in about 4 hours.

Here are some pics... Lemme know what you all think!

Here's the alignment spec sheet... Thoughts? Also, what tyre pressure do you recommend for daily driving?

That looks really good!! That's a great looking 4R.

I'm curious, what do mean by it "drives like a TRUCK"? How does it compare to stock? Is it stiffer?

I'm thinking of the lift myself, that's the reason I ask. Typically, saying something "rides like a truck" isn't a good thing, haha.

    Thanks guys!

@Trail Runnah: hahaha, of course! What I meant was that it feels of course heavier, but a bit more stiff than stock. The stock suspension feels ok, but I feel this is the way Toyota should equip the TRD Off Roads at least from factory.

    Cheers,

    Sean

Thanks for the info! Mine is a 2013 I bought two years ago with 79k miles, 115k now. I don't think it rides that great, but then again I don't know how a new one rides. I feel like the front is too soft, but the back is too stiff over harsh bumps.

I'll have to look into this kit more, I think it's on sale for a couple more days.

Bigger A/T LT Tires, Slight Lift, Sliders, Rack, Lights, etc.
Alignment looks to be what I'd expect. If it feels fine to you, especially on the highway, then it's fine. Aftermarket UCA's would probably offer a bit more stability at high speeds, easier return to center, etc. Nearly 3* of caster isn't far off spec, but you also have bigger tires, so... your call there. Nothing to worry about if you like the way it drives.

Curious, did you put a level against your frame? I am curious if it's level or not.. not that it really matters if you like it. FWIW, the rear fenders are about 2" higher than the fronts from the factory.

The correct tire pressure for LT tires on a near-stock-weight 4Runner is ~39 PSI.

    Hey hey matey!

Absolutely does feel well. I did go with the aftermarket UCA's... Went with the OME UCA0004, which I understood would help with better alignment numbers casterwise. They seem to be working out as well.

You know, i didn't do the level unfortunately... I did measure from top of wheel well to the ground on all 4 sides, and as read on different posts, it's about 1/8 lower on the left side than the right, but it isn't noticeable.

Thanks for the tire pressure recommendation... Currently playing around with it, and currently at 38PSI.

    Cheers,

    Sean

    Hey matey,

Thanks so much for the compliment. Did the standard Eibach 200lb springs, with the Pro Truck Shocks that comes as a part of the stage 2 kit. I was debating adding the adjustable kit in the rear, but it isn't really needed. I definitely recommend it!

    Cheers,

    Sean

This is an old thread, but I thought I would add my recent experience with Eibach.

I was interested in the Eibach 2.0 coilovers and rear load leveling system as well as some competing products. I called Eibach directly, the phone was answered by a human, knowledgeable about the products, who could easily answer my questions directly.

One of my primary concerns was the service interval and working life. I know many of the higher end coilovers have service intervals at 30-40k miles, and I'm hoping for something more simple and robust. I'm not racing in the Baja 1000 over here. Eibach confirmed an 80,000 mile service life for the coilover 4Runner struts with free replacement in the event of leakage.

I ended up ordering the full kit directly from Eibach. They don't offer the coilovers with adjustable rear leveling system as a kit on their website, but they will price it as a kit over the phone ($1499.44 as of 1/21/22). I figure this cuts out any middle men for potential warranty issues and I really like that I can call and reach a human if needed.

I just thought I would report out my experience in case anyone else would find it helpful.

What were your final lift #s? I ask because I purchased the pro-truck stage 2 coils, rear sport shocks, and the pro-truck level system (400lbs of added weight) directly through Eibach and will be having them install everything at their shop here in Corona, CA.

Hey hey mate, I think I ended up with 3" up front, and 1.5" in the back. I have been meaning to measure and compare with a stock vehicle at my local dealer, but problem is, my local dealer has NO 4Runners as of lately. :(

Hey hey mate! Shout out to you too. I'm in Dallas usually once a month. Next time you're in Houston, definitely let me know.

    Cheers,

I finally had a chance to install my 2.0 adjustable coil overs and adjustable rear springs from Eibach. Install was very smooth as long as you don’t follow the instructions. Thanks to YouTube there are a lot of install videos for lifting 4Runners. On the front, just loosen and drop the lower control arm and everything falls out very easily. The Eibach instructions make the front install much more complicated.

I set my rear at max height and the front at about 2” which measures level at the fenders. With stock size Michelin LTX the center of the wheel wells are at about 38.25”. Interestingly, I had to adjust the driver’s side strut up quite a bit to level between the driver’s and passenger side.

I’ve only had it on a short drive so far, but overall it feels much more controlled compared to the stock suspension. I had newer struts and shocks, but stock springs with 150,000 miles on them. The Eibach is a bit stiffer and more harsh at low speeds, but feels so much better on the road at speed, especially on curvy two lanes. Less body roll overall and much more confidence inspiring to drive. So far I’m very happy with the kit.

Hey OP, the 4runner looks great. I have a 23 ORP with KDSS. I hope you can help me out. I just ordered the stage 2 kit. Does yours have KDSS and did you have to get anything else for it?
