Here is the gist. My husband and I just purchased a 2021 T4R ORP with KDSS. We have a big off-road trip in our near future that we are prepping for We have e a 2.5 front/2 back Dobinsin lift arriving today. My husband really wants Yokohoman 285 Geolander M/T tires. He also loves rigs where the tires bump out from the fender. I have searched the forums and online, and I am still confused.

Will that tire have a natural bump out with a 17 inch wheel that fits this tire or will I need a spacer to get that look? Anything I need to worried about with this set up, like a BMC?

Who a wider wheel give that same bumped out look?

I am obviously new to this world, so I thank you for your help.

Not really. Toyota wheels tend to tuck in the tires, except the TRD PRO wheels which are technically too narrow for 285s.

Also you will probably rub, regardless of your setup with that tire size choice.

I don’t understand that article, because with almost a 3 inch lift up front, I had to cut the shit out of my fender plastic and do a body mount chop to keep it from rubbing at full lock off road.

I also had to do a body mount chop on my 2007 FJ cruiser and 2010 FJ cruiser when installing similar lifts and tires.

    Welcome to the forum!

Please report back after your lift is installed, say after 10 days or so to let it settle. Curious to see if your actual lift height corresponds to the advertised lift height.
