image.jpg image.jpg Hey guys, I bought my first 4Runner about 2 months ago and figured I'd share what I have done to it so far and make a build page for myself to keep track of everything. I bought a 2000 4Runner SR5 with a auto tranny and about 230,000 miles on it. I've had two Toyota pickups previously, the first was a 91 standard cab base model 4x4 with 140,000 miles and a 22re, the second was a 96 Tacoma SR5 4x4 with lots of miles on her. Both were 5 speeds so this is my first auto. I may change that down the road depending on how I like the auto in the 4Runner.

1st thing I did was put my roof rack off of my Tacoma on it. I later took it back off of my 4Runner and back on the Tacoma to sell it. I'll be buying another one here before to long.

2nd was put some cbi offroad ditch light brackets on it and some led offroad lights. It also has all led interior lights and VLEDs headlights, clear corner lights with LED bulbs and clear blinkers. Along with a paranoid fabrications ashtray light switch bracket and some super bright led carlin switches.

3rd I put a e locker axle in the rear along with a newer front diff to match the new gearing in the rear (4.30s). I made my own wiring harness for the locker so I don't have any of the safety features that everyone is always trying to disable with the grey wire mod. I just used some 6 conducter tralor wiring and a low range offroad switch like a lot of people have done before.

4th a put some ome 883 front coils with adjustable 5100s up front and a 1.5" spacer lift in the rear. Also the rear has airbags to help with towing. I put the 883s up front because I was planning on putting a offroad bumper on it that I made but I ended up going another route.

5th I put some bfg all terrains on it, the newer ones with the cool side walls. They are the 32.2x11x17" tires on some level 8 tracker wheels.

6th I did the 231mm tundra brake upgrade this Friday, painted up my rear drums to match the fronts, painted my calipers red and painted the frame up a little to make everything look nice and new.

Today I put my westin brush guard on the front of it and ordered up some 4" led pods for fog lights and reverse lights. I also did some trimming of the fender flares and some sledge hammering to clear the bigger tires. They rubbed a little bit in reverse. Also I trimmed the rear mud flaps up to just the stock flare height.

There's more to come eventually. I like tinkering with stuff and will try to keep this page updated for me and anyone interested. If you have any questions on any of the mods ask away!
