Just found out the 2001 I just got a month ago is "totaled" due to a massive hailstorm this week. I'm planning on buying it back from the insurance co. and just living with a few cosmetic issues. I should clear 2k or so to make some necessary repairs. Two questions.

Due to broken windows, the carpet/insulation got soaked and will need to be replaced. Anyone know where to get a kit? How hard is it to remove the furniture to replace the carpet?

The driver's side mirror got destroyed. It still responds to the switch but mirror and case are broken. Where to get a replacement (can be used), and how is this done?

    Thx!

As to the carpet I'd look online and see if you can find a Toyota part number and Google it. Do the same for the mirror. There are dealers that will deal on parts prices. Seems like there's a guy in Louisiana (Baton Rogue?) that makes great deals on extended warranties I think.

I'd not be scared of aftermarket carpet, especially on a 15 yr old salvage vehicle. I can tell you from experience though that is only want a factory mirror.

Buzzard took off from the center line next to my truck and broke my drivers side one. Tried two aftermarket ones. The both fit and looked fine but vibrated at speed making whatever you saw in them blurry.
