Looking for help, not sure if I have a transmission or a tranfer case problem. I have a 1990 toyota 4 runner automatic trans v6 4 wheel drive. Vehicle ran good til it was parked then next day truck won't move when put in to drive. It moves a very little when in 2 drive. No reverse, no 4 wheel high but when you put it in 4 wheel low it moves like it should and shifts in 4 low like it should. Anyone know if its a transmission problem or a transfer case problem? Also reverse works in 4 wheel low. Fluids are good.

Did you ever figure out the problem? I'm having the same issue right now.

Mine stopped shifting and I had to decide to do a swap with a used one, sell it or rebuild the tranny. I rebuilt it!

Gotcha! We’re you having the same problem with the truck barely moving in 2H?

Oh my God!!:bananadead: Try the full 5 gallon Dex-Merc flush.....what the hell. Also...there is a "can" under the passenger fender well...if that dam vacume line is cracked or off...or a hole in the can...4WD wont work and could cause the symptoms you described. Best Of Luck!! P.S.
