Well, it wouldn't be the first time I've duped myself out of a $100 bill - however, if by some stretch this is legit (or even a listing error), by the time product is received they will be long sold out...

 

The ad is still up @ $99.99. 3 sold last night and now up to 14 sold. Another odd thing I see about this new seller since 03-2021 is all 10 of his positive feedbacks are first time buyers. I may order one just for grins.

I'm somewhat ignorant about winches in general and especially how they work with our 4 gens. With that said, can anyone tell me if this can be mounted to an 05 with the factory bumper? If so is it a major operation? TIA

 

Sorta - ya can't just hang a winch on the front bumper. On a 5th gen (what I'm familiar with) the entire nose of the vehicle comes off - as does the OEM bumper which is replaced by a steel structure that accommodates your winch. Then you re-install the front nose section, yada yada yada. Check YouTube - there are a lot of videos that define the process better than what I can illustrate here.

Hmm, I wonder what the scam angle was.

 

I'd imagine just trying to bank as much as they could, withdrawal/transfer the money, and run... but ebay doesn't give you the money right away anymore. They hold it for a few days before it settles, then they ACH it to you (not like before where you got an instant paypal payment for it).

Hoping everyone that played gets their money back.

Well it was fun boys. Knew it was too good to be true but the risk was minimal, and the reward was big haha

 

According to what I'm getting out of eBay I can't get a refund just yet as the "shipment" is in progress, but of course there is no tracking information provided. So I may have to wait until the posted delivery time comes & goes before I'm able to cancel & get the refund. My own bad for being lured in by the low price point...
