Hey y’all, i am new to this group and happy to be part of it. i am planning on buying a new 4runner venture trim so i would like to know among barcelona red and silver which would be a better color in terms of maintenance and also for the long term. I have seen people recommending silver because it hides the dirt but what about barcelona red? has anyone bought the red one? is it better than silver ?

It was announced yesterday Toyota is discontinuing the Venture for 2022 and the Night shade edition as well (per Toyota Jeff and Torque news).

I think the red looks sweet but i my opinion the Silver will hold up better over long term. I ordered a silver ORP with intent to hold 15-20 years. I just think silver is more "forgiving". The red however really pops. I think the red will fade more quickly particularly in a sunny climate.

If you really want one I would place an order right away. My dealer told me last week if you ordered a non-Pro model the current wait time is 4 months. Also, some dealers won't order without a significant deposit. I would offer $1-$2k deposit to show you're serious.

I think the red is a great color, but silver is probably the best for hiding chips, scratches, etc. Mine is silver, and it always looks pretty clean, even when it's not. Same with my silver Volvo.

It's only when I wash it and the metallic shines again that I realize how dirty it was, haha.

Personally for myself, I also ordered with the door edge guards from factory/port. I saw several examples of them installed on vehicles last year. They are factory paint matched.

My garage is tight and I thought for $80 more why not add those on and have someone put them on that does it regularly. Hopefully I like the install on mine.

Good luck with your decision process and keep us posted.

My wife has the Barcelona red venture and hers stays almost as dirty as my midnight black metallic. I’d go silver all day

Silver hides scratches much better. Can't really tell there are swirl marks either unless you really look.

If they had a silver one on the lot I would have gotten it. Looks good with black or chrome accents

I think Red 4Runner with black accents like bumper valence & black badging would look best.

True that I don't own any red. I love white to keep the temp low on hot summer days but white paint seem to have problems. My next lightest color choice was Silver.

Between Silver and Red if I only think about the looks I would pick Red with black accents.

Red is always faster but I'm very happy with silver.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I think a good, clean, red paint job will add 7 HP, or at least 10 MPH to the top end.

    Just what I've heard :D
